Our Courses
Ab-Initio Flight Operations Officer Course
Fight Operations Officer Course fully complies with international requirements for training of flight dispatchers and operations controllers. Course covers over 2000 learning objectives and 20 study units essential for safe preparation of flights and provision of operational control. Course prepares the candidate for theoretical exam with national Competent Authority prior proceeding with FOO Phase 2 training.
Duration: 220 hours (8-10 weeks)
Advanced Flight Dispatch and EDTO/ETOPS Course
Course is focused on theoretical knowledge and practical skills related to more complex flight dispatch tasks typically performed by experienced, senior Flight Operations Officers. Students will gain in-depth understanding of international operations, EDTO (ETOPS) flight planning and flight monitoring, DPP/Re-clearance planning, flight optimisation and flight economy management.
Duration: 24 hours (3 days)
Flight Operations Officer Recurrent Training
Course secures continued competence of the flight dispatch personnel with focus on essential profession skills and competences as well as latest developments in the aviation industry. FOO Recurrent Course follows 3-year cycle in which, every year, dispatchers revisit 6 different key areas in order to refresh their knowledge and familiarise with updates and changes relevant for their profession and tasks.
Duration: 16 hours/year (2 days)
Training Standards and Accreditations
Alpha One Flight Operations Officer (Flight Dispatcher) Course is endorsed by Malta Civil Aviation Authority (Transport Malta – Civil Aviation Directorate). Training is based on the ICAO and EASA standard and is fully compliant with the Flight Operations Officer/Flight Dispatcher training requirements as per ICAO Doc 10106 and EASA GM1.ORO,GEN.110 (c).
Our initial, recurrent and advanced training programmes are also compliant with IOSA requirements.

Course Delivery Formats
Alpha One courses are delivered in various formats (online and classroom) depending on the course type.
We use Live Synchronous Video Conferencing (LSV) as an approved, online, instructor-led delivery format for majority of our courses. LSV Format allows students from anywhere in the world to attend the first class training from the comfort of their home or office without compromising quality of the tuition.
Tailored courses can also be delivered in the client premises or in our state-of-the-art training facility in Malta.
